As snow starts falling in the mountains, Turkey’s eastern province Van has entered a period in which people can experience two seasons at the same time. They only have to endure a 30-minute car ride in order to switch seasons.
While warm autumn tones dominate the district of Catak, snow is being removed from the streets in the neighbouring district Bahcesaray, which is located only 50 kilometres away.
Catak is a beautiful town with spectacular nature where people can go for long walks enjoying the scenery, whereas Bahcesaray attracts snowball lovers with its white mountains.
Catak and Bahcesaray districts possess natural riches like honey, walnuts and salmon which attract visitors who love nature, silence and fresh air.
