Istanbul Sea Buses (IDO), which started its Aegean Islands trips in April 2024, took its first step into the international market with touristic trips to Samos, Patmos, Leros and Kalymnos Islands. During this period, it carried 155,000 passengers to 4 islands with 3 ships, on 6 different lines in total, between April and October 2024.

İDO General Manager Murat Orhan announced in his statement on the subject that the Samos Island trips will start as of March 29th, Eve of the Eid. Orhan expressed that they were very pleased with the intense interest in the holiday tourism trips they launched in the Aegean Region throughout 2024. Emphasizing that they plan to provide a more comprehensive service in the Aegean Islands with 8 ships in 2025, Orhan added that the other lines will become operational at the beginning of May. Stating that field work and permit processes are continuing for the new lines due to the intense demand from the islands, Orhan added that they aim to carry over 300 thousand passengers in the Aegean Islands within the scope of 2025.
İDO’s Aegean Islands holiday trips and trip times are as follows:
Samos trips that will start on Eve of the Eid will be held regularly every day throughout the holiday. The İDO sea bus, which will depart from Seferihisar to Samos at 08:00, will reach Samos in an hour. Likewise, the İDO sea bus departing from Samos to Seferihisar at 16:00 will arrive at Seferihisar Port at 17:00.
On the Kuşadası-Samos line, the sea bus service departing at 08:45 will arrive at Samos at 09:15. The İDO sea bus departing from Samos to Kuşadası at 17:00 will arrive at Seferihisar Port at 17:30.
All Aegean Island 2025 voyages
The Dikili-Midilli services, which will start service this year, will start on May 16. These services, which were planned to be operated once a week throughout May, will be operated three days a week in June and every day in July and August. The services, which were reduced to three days a week again in September, will close the season as of September 28. The services on the Turgutreis-Leros line, which started last year, will start on June 5 this year and continue until September 30.
There will be trips to Samos for half the year
The Kuşadası-Samos line, which will provide special services during the holiday, will operate three days a week in April after the holiday, four days a week in May, and every day from the beginning of June to September 14. The last 15 days of the services will continue five days a week, with the last one on September 28.
Similarly, the Seferihisar-Samos line, which opened the season with the holiday, will continue to operate three days a week in April. The services that will be operated on certain days in May will be operated every day in July and August. The line, which will be reduced to four days a week in September, will close the season and perform its last service as of September 28.
