Torrential rains hit the northwestern province of Kırklareli on Tuesday, triggering flash floods in many parts of the province that have left three people dead.
The bodies of Siyami Yeni, 45, his son Semih Yeni, 21, and Zehra Demirel, 93, were found by search and recue teams after being dragged away by flood waters.
Some 50 houses were flooded in Büyükkarıştıran, a town in the Lüleburgaz district, reports said.
Büyükkarıştıran Deputy Mayor Mesut Çolak told the Anatolia news agency that people escaped the flood by climbing on the roofs of their houses and trees until they were later rescued by civil emergency rescue teams.
The Lüleburgaz-Çorlu highway was
opened to traffic after being closed for seven hours due to the torrential rains.
Meanwhile, in the neighboring province of Tekirdağ, around 300 people were trapped in flooded houses. They were later rescued by firefighting teams.
