ANKARA— Turkey will host the 36th NATO Summit in Ankara on 7–8 July
2026, marking the second time the country has welcomed the Alliance's leaders
after the 2004 summit in Istanbul.
Heads of state and government from NATO member nations are expected to
attend, with discussions likely to focus on security, defence co-operation and
regional stability.
The selection of Ankara highlights Turkey's strategic importance within NATO
and its role in supporting security across Europe, the Middle East and the Black
Sea region.
The summit is also expected to provide economic benefits through increased
tourism, business activity and international media attention, while offering
Turkey an opportunity to showcase its modern capital and growing global
influence.
