The total number of confirmed cases has risen to 34,109 as 3,892 more people have tested positive in the last 24 hours.
The death toll now stands at 725 and Health Minister Fahrettin Koca stated that “1,582 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, while 1,474 patients are currently in intensive care” adding that “the recovery rate has shown a significant rise.
The minister stated that the curfew measures for people aged over 65 and under 20 has shown significant results as the new infections are now more frequently seen in people between the ages of 20 and 65
20,023 tests were conducted on April 7, bringing the total number of overall tests carried out so far to 222,868.
