Turkey has become one of the most visited countries in the world because of its diversity in landscape, its cultural denotations, art, among others. Turkey is really a captivating place not just for tourists but culture lovers and globetrotters.
Although Christmas day is just another day here in Turkey, there is most definitely a feel of the seasonal atmosphere.
In December we begin to see the lighted trees going up…they are called New Year Trees and some shops put decorations up and the colour red appears everywhere.
Today, I visited the New Year Festival held by Kusadasi Municipality and the Foreigners Assembly of Kusadasi City Council.
There will be modern and folk dancers, a DJ and from the image you will see that there are many actives for all of the family to enjoy.
The event will run on into the evening and I am sure we will have plenty more images to show tomorrow.
