With the decision of the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME), the fares of minibus lines throughout the city were increased.
The new tariffs, especially implemented on the Aydın-Kuşadası line, are of great concern to both passengers and drivers.
On the lines where the full passenger fee was previously 98 TL, this figure has now increased to 120 TL. The fee determined for students has been increased from 75 TL to 95 TL. According to the upper limit tariff suggested by UKOME, 124 TL for full passengers and 102 TL for students could have been applied, but drivers preferred more affordable prices in order to reduce the need for change.
Authorities indicate that this regulation, which was made in line with increasing costs and economic conditions, will continue to see similar increases in urban transportation.
