What to do if your Irish Passport is lost or stolen in Turkey
If your passport is lost or stolen while on holidays in Turkey, please contact the Irish Embassy on 0312 459 1000 and we will arrange for an Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC) to be issued through the nearest Honorary Consulate.
Outside of office hours, please leave a message with your contact details and the Duty Officer will ring you back. An ETC is a single-journey document to assist you return only to your country of residence. You can then apply for a replacement passport. If you are resident outside of Ireland you must apply for the new passport through your local Embassy.
