It’s onwards and upwards for Turkish Airlines as they plan to increase their destinations.
Ilker Ayci, chairman of the board of directors has said that Japan, China, America and Canada will have new flight routes after the completion of the third runway at Istanbul Airport.
In 2020 permission has been obtained for flights to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and to resume flights to Osaka. Ayci also stated that “we hope to launch flights to Xian in China as soon as possible. We want to open more routes to destinations in Asia, particularly in China.”
Turkish Airlines also plan to fly to Vancouver depending on market conditions and plane availability. In the summer season the airline will increase flights to Los Angeles, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. In the first nine months of 2019, the carrier served over 56 million passengers.
