We have learned of another verified change happening now concerning additional paperwork for your residency renewal which the writer will try keep as simple as possible for you.

A National Electronic Notification Address (UETS) will be requested when you are submitting documents regarding your residence permit extension application.

Most of us are already aware of this part – As part of the renewal process applicants must go to their nearest PTT office to obtain a UETS number which is a requirement to access the NEN’S system.

The NENS is the National Electronic Notification System (NENS) which was established for the sending and delivery of notifications from public service and Government bodies to individuals.  One such notification is the result of your residency renewal application.

In this context, the NENS address will be requested for residence permit extension applications.

THE UPDATE – Residency Extension Application update of 25th August 2024

Following meetings between the Foreign Citizens Advice Centre and the PTT with subsequent follow ups, test cases were arranged accompanied by a volunteer from the foreign citizens advice centre and the Ege Eye in Kusadasi.

The following is now clarified and is Official.

As part of the renewal process applicants since 25/08/24 must:

Firstly, if you are not a Turkish speaker, have your Passport Translated by an official translator – Contact the Advice Centre – usually takes 24hrs then…

  1. Visit Noter office with either a certified translator or a Turkish person who speaks English – no appointment necessary – (if the applicant speaks Turkish, this is accepted with no need for a translator and points No. 2 and No. 3 below do not apply)
  2. Power of Attorney – (Only for this process) – A signed statement at Noter Office for/to, whomever is with you at Noter office and is continuing to the PTT office with you
  3. Pay approximately 2,575tl pp to Noter Office- Translator will require separate payment.

At the PTT Office you will need:

  • Residency card,
  • Turkish mobile phone with credit on it
  • Be able to access your email account on site
  • Translated Passport
  • Applicant’s Power of Attorney statement
  • All Docs from Noter must be Wet Signed and Stamped

At the Goc office Interview

The staff there require wet signed and stamped documentation from the PTT as part of your residency extension application, REGARDLESS of Foreigners with e-signature being able to apply for NENS online.

NOTE:

For foreigners under 18 years of age, the residence permit evaluation results will be sent through the NENS (UETS) addresses of their parents or guardians. Children are not required to declare a NENS (UETS) address.

Please do not forget to add your wet signed and stamped UETS form to your residency application file on the appointment date.

The Foreign Citizens Advice Centre, which is legally registered in Turkey, can be with you every step of the way.  They work closely with all local and national government departments.

The volunteers are very experienced and with their help and support, they take you calmly through your renewal / residency application process.  They do not charge for their service.
