Kuadasi Municipality has rolled up its sleeves to establish the World Street Gastronomy, Culture and Art Centre, adding a new one to its efforts to bring new attractions to the city and increase diversity in tourism.
The centre, which will be the first of its kind in Turkey, will offer the prominent flavours of 30 countries from 5 continents to local and foreign tourists.
Kusadasi Municipality, in order to make the city the centre of the experience-oriented ‘new tourism’ that emerged after the pandemic, took action to bring a new route to the city under the name of “Dünya Sokak Gastronomy,
Culture and Art Centre” after the Ada Camping and Kampinova projects implemented in Davutlar Sevgi Beach. According to the decision taken in the September meeting of Kusadasi Municipal Council, the gastronomy center to be established on an 8,393 square meter area belonging to the municipality in Davutlar Neighbourhood Kiremit Ocağı location will make a significant contribution to Kusadasi’s urban identity and brand value.
The Dünya Sokak Gastronomy, Culture and Art Centre project, which will present the prominent street flavors of 30 countries from 5 continents along with their music, dance and culture, will consist of caravans instead of permanent reinforced concrete structures.
The project, which will bring significant dynamism to city tourism, will be implemented in cooperation with the Turkish Chefs Association Federation (TAFED).
