Kuşadası Municipality's 2024-2025 adult theatre trainees reaped the rewards of their year-long training on stage. The one-act play, adapted from "Lysistrata – The Battle of Women" by the renowned ancient Greek author Aristophanes, premiered at the Pera Wedding, Organization, and Culture Center.
Directed by Mehmet Turan, General Artistic Director of Kuşadası Municipal Theatre, the play received rave reviews from the audience for both its powerful theme and the sincere performance of its amateur spirit. The 15 trainees who took the stage were highly acclaimed for their play, which blended messages of women's solidarity and peace with satire. The success of the trainees, who worked diligently throughout the year, was crowned with applause from the audience.
Director Mehmet Turan said, "I am proud of the performances of our trainees. Each and every one of them put on the stage with their hearts. We thank everyone who came to see us and invite you to share in the magic of theatre in all our future plays." The theatre play "Lysistrata – The Battle of Women" will continue to be staged free of charge at the Pera Wedding, Organization and Culture Center on specified days.
