Originally the Bogazici Express ran between Ankara and Sakarya, however, it was cancelled due to lack of interest in 2013. Over the past couple of years, train journeys, especially for touristic purposes have been steadily climbing.

Turkish State Railways have reintroduced the Bogazici Express which offers some of the best scenery in Anatolia. The journey takes around six hours.
