Cabin personnel of Turkish Airlines went on slowdown strike today to protest a draft law which bans strikes at the airlines.
The Parliament is scheduled to discuss the draft today.
Some flights were delayed after 200 workers from the company’s technical team joined the cabin personnel on strike in solidarity,
according to daily Hürriyet.
THY cancelled 13 domestic and 11 international flights. The strike is expected to last until midnight.
Security forces have been dispatched to the airport as a precautionary measure.
Officials have asked passengers to call 444 0 849 prior to leaving for the airport to check the status of their flight.
