Turkish Airlines has restricted its alcoholic beverage service to its economy class passengers on international flights.
Drinks such as raki, gin and vodka will not be served on flights which are less than six hours and a single brand of vodka will be served to passengers in flights longer than six hours.
This decision is to take effect from today December 6th.
The airline stopped serving alcoholic beverages to its economy class passengers on domestic flights in 2013. The company announced that the decision was taken as a result of low demand for alcoholic beverages and logistics challenges in flights, except for ones in Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Ankara, Bodrum and Dalaman.
