Men in the Aegean province of İzmir will run in high heels on March 8 Women’s Day to draw attention to increasing acts of violence against women in Turkey.
The run will be similar in nature to the “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event, which has been held
in many cities across the world for more than a decade, daily Radikal reported on its website.
The event in İzmir is called “Sıkıysa Topuklu Giy” (Wear High Heels if You Dare) and will be held at the İzmir Forum Bornova on March 8.
