A reader of The Ege Eye has informed the office today of her experience when she went to pay her council tax.
She noticed that her tax was higher than anyone else on her site and this had been happening for quite a while.
Last year when she questioned this issue she was informed that she was being charged on the wrong building classification. Consequently her council tax liability was subsequently reduced.
Human error must always play a part in an organization as big as the Belediye and especially if you consider the amount of transactions that are dealt with on a daily basis. If errors are brought to their attention they are happy to correct them immediately, usually.
If you feel that you are paying more than your neighbours then we advise that you double check with the Belediye.
