In a statement made by Didim Municipality, citizens were called to be sensitive against fraud cases.
In a statement made on the social media accounts of the Municipality regarding the issue, it was noted that fraud was attempted using the name of the municipality and the following information was provided;
“Recently, we have been receiving complaints that some people are going door to door on behalf of our municipality and requesting identity information from our citizens.
Our municipality never goes door to door and request’s identity information. Such attempts may be for fraudulent purposes.
Please pay attention to the following points in order to protect your identity information and prevent it from falling into the hands of malicious people:
- “Do not share your personal information (TC identity number, address, phone, etc.) with anyone.
- Check the identity cards or official documents of the people requesting your identity information.
- In suspicious cases, verify the information by calling our municipality’s official communication channels.
If you encounter a fraud attempt, report the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.”
