The “Gallipoli Wars Mobile Museum”, which displays objects from the Gallipoli Wars and presents digital displays, has arrived in Edirne.
The Çanakkale Wars Mobile Museum is traveling along the routes determined within the scope of the organization that started in 2021 within the scope of the project carried out by the Çanakkale Wars Gallipoli Historical Site Presidency.
The museum, which recently came to Edirne , opened its doors to visitors in the İlhan Koman Park next to the Old Mosque. The museum, which was prepared to transfer the spirit of Çanakkale to future generations, includes photographs, war objects and historical artifacts from that period. Digital shows are also presented.
Çanakkale Wars Mobile Museum Technical Manager Necmi Can Akyıldız said that the mobile museum will go to the Balkan countries after Edirne .
Akyıldız, who talked about the contents of the display cases in the museum, said, “Our aim here is to go to the doorsteps of our citizens who feel the spirit of Çanakkale but cannot visit, and to make them experience the spirit of Çanakkale even if just a little bit. It is a war, a history that should not be forgotten. This is what we are striving for.”
The mobile museum can be visited until the evening of February 27.
