On November 20th Ilke OzyUksel won the gold medal in the under 24 Junior Modern Pentathlon which were held in Poland.
The athletic stated that she was “very happy to have achieved such success during the coronavirus [pandemic]. Although it was the beginning of the season, we achieved our best”.
The minister of the Youth and Sports Ministry, Mehmet Kasapoglu tweeted Ilke’s success which was celebrated all over social media.
Ilke thanked the Sports Ministry, her trainers and her family saying that she presents “this medal to my country”.
The pentathlete competed in the fencing, horse riding, swimming and laser run where she gained a total of 1,401 points to take the championship.
