The identities of the individuals who vandalized public areas, especially parks and beaches, were determined by Kuşadası Municipality. Criminal complaints were filed against the individuals, and they were sentenced to various penalties.
Kuşadası Municipality did not give up on the incidents that occurred in public areas. The legal process initiated against 4 people who damaged and rendered unusable urban furniture such as umbrellas, sun loungers, armchairs, swings in parks, beaches and stadiums offered for the common use of city residents has been concluded.
They received prison and fines
The 4 individuals, whose identities were determined, and a criminal complaint was filed against them by the Kuşadası Municipality Legal Affairs Directorate under the relevant articles of the Turkish Penal Code, were sentenced to imprisonment from 1 to 5 years and various amounts of judicial fines.
President Ömer Günel, who pointed out that damaging public property has no logic or reason, stated that they will continue their legal struggle against the vandalism, which he described as “enmity towards the people.”
President Gunel is determined
Günel, who stated that they hoped the penalties given would be deterrent, said, “The destruction of investments made for the people with public resources by malicious people is not a situation we can remain silent about. As Kuşadası Municipality, we have protected every penny of our city until today. We will continue to be determined. Our stance on this issue is very clear.” Calling on his fellow citizens to protect public property, Mayor Ömer Günel said, “This city belongs to all of us and protecting its property is the responsibility of all of us.” Source: https://yenisokegazetesi.com/
