Health Minister Fahrettin Koca reported late last night that the amount of people who have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Turkey has increased to 9,217 and that the death toll has reached 131.
Koca also added that 9,982 tests had been conducted in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests carried out in Turkey to 65,446 since the outbreak began. Statistics show that 1,815 of the 9,982 of the most recent tests carried out came back positive.
Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu announced that “the use of public transportation had fallen by more than 90 percent. He said a system had been set up at the border of every province to check the health of anyone traveling.”
It has been extensively announced that people do not go out for the next 48 hours as this is a critical phase in the country’s fight against the outbreak.
